Rynsan means platform in the Khasi language and the stage we have set here at our restaurant is for food and music to tell our unique story which will take you on a journey from these pristine hills down to the great river valleys, farther east and back to where it began.
Cuisine, like language, is a great documenter of humanity’s flow. The Northeast of India is the confluence of the great heritage of the Diverse Indian Sub-Continent, the Mystical Yunnan region of South China and the Exotic Southeast of Asia.
Rynsan has curated a menu meant to showcase our unique location in the world’s map and the history of our beloved, Shillong. At Rynsan we bring to your table only the freshest produce sourced directly from rural organic farms and urban gardens. We begin the curation of each of our dishes from a local ingredient and taste. Food, Philosophy, Art are the three hearthstones of Rynsan.
